On one hunting trip, I bagged a 12-point buck with the Concorde, firing the arrow clean through his chest with what looked like a double-lung pass-through shot. I cock the crossbow as soon as I get into my deer stand, and leave it cocked all day long. I have heard users complain about the hissing sound of the cocking mechanism, but I have not had any problems with the deer staying away. The compact size makes it easy to bring around to target from a deer stand. That makes it probably the most compact, even though the heaviest, crossbow I have seen. The crossbow has a 9.6” power stroke, and an axle-to-axle width of only 18.75”. At almost 12 pounds, this is definitely the heaviest crossbow I have carried.ĭespite its weight, the Concorde is very compact. If you are packing in a lot of gear and/or have a long hike to your hunting stand, you are definitely going to notice the weight of the Parker Concorde. See our Crossbow Ballistics Guides section for a complete understanding of how we conducted our tests and why this data matters. Your actual results will vary slightly depending on weather, and significantly with arrow weight change. Use our arrow ballistics calculator for more valuable information. With a rest, I was able to hold 4” groupings from 60 yards. Without a shooting rest, my 60-yard groupings were 5”. The weight of the crossbow causes quite a bit of drift for me. Accuracy drops off a bit further out, unless you have some sort of a rest. I was able to hold 1” groupings from 20 yards using a rest, and 2.5” groupings freestanding from 40 yards. Once sighted in, which only took three shots, the crossbow is quite accurate. This is more than enough for small- to medium-sized game, but I would not rely on this crossbow for larger game than deer. The Parker Concorde fires arrows at 300 fps, with 80 ft. Once you are ready to shoot, all you have to do is spend a few minutes sighting in the scope and you are ready to check the accuracy of the crossbow. There is no CO2 canister included, for some reason, so you will have to purchase one if you want to use the automatic cocking mechanism. The only assembly you might have to do is attach the quiver and install a CO2 canister. There is no assembly required for the Parker Concorde it comes ready to hunt straight out of the box.
